Class Descriptions
Kinder Dance (Ages 3,4) and Junior Dance (Ages 5-7)
Where it all begins! Inspired by the classics, this program introduces basic ballet, folk and character steps to the young dancer. Jazz dance will be taught to Junior Dance students emphasizing rhythmic movement and isolation exercises.

Level I (Ages 8-10)
Ballet technique is taught in the Vaganova Style with emphasis on carriage of the upper body as well as technical movement of the arms and legs. Level I dancers attend one class per week.

Level II
Classical ballet technique taught in the Russian Vaganova Style. Level II dancers begin practicing pirouettes and short petite and grande allegro combinations. Emphasis is now put on one foot balance. These dancers must attend two classes per week.

Level III
Adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro and grande allegro are taught at the intermediate level in the Vaganova Style. Students who are in transition from Level II, may attend one Level II class per week plus two Level III classes per week. Students studying Point must attend three technique plus three point classes per week.

Level IV/V
Adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro and grande allegro are taught at the intermediate to advanced levels in the Vaganova Style. Level IV dancers are encouraged to study technique and point four times per week. Point variations class is offered at this level.

Hip Hop
This class is inspired by today's Hip Hop, Jazz and gymnastic movements.

Adult Ballet
Whether a first time enthusiast or a returning dancer wishing to re-tune skills, participants in this class will focus on the enjoyment and appreciation of classical ballet technique as a pathway to better health and recreation.
